MuseumEats is an organization that aims to build community and the connection between source and stomach. Our main work is in training restaurant workers to understand local food sources, especially in the wild. We conduct private and public workshops with a holistic perspective: from regenerative harvest and permaculture, to embedding ethics in hipster foodism and dreaming up paths to food security. For more information on our pay structure and curriculum, visit our Wildcrafting Workshops section above.
Who We Are
Camille Flanjak (Cam) is the director of MuseumEats. She has been engaged with wild food since she was a toddler and running MuseumEats as a Wild Foods Educator since 2013. To enrich her understandings of food systems and sustainability, Cam studies permaculture, wildcrafting, and viticulture.
Her certifications include: Permaculture Design (Gaiacraft), Wildcrafting Basics (Wildcraft Forest, Lumby, BC), Clown, levels 1,2,3 (Fantastic Space Enterprises), WSET Level 2, First Aid, FoodSafe, ServingItRight, BA, Critical Theory and Critical Studies in Sexuality (UBC).

THE GOAL is for MuseumEats to become a fully-functioning collective of folks interested in driving an ethical food culture in Vancouver. This is only made possible with all of MuseumEats' co-mentors, teachers, chefs, students, diners, and contributors.
Previous and current co-facilitators include: Kaylie Barfield (the Mediterranean Exploration Company), Kris Barnholden (Latab Food), Kelly Ablard (Phytochemist and Aromatherapist), Lori Snyder (Aboriginal Herbalist), Bea Edelstein (Weaver), Don Elzer (Wildcraft Tea Plantation), the Nettles' Guild, and many more.
We collaborate with lots of amazing people and businesses. If you are into what we're into, we suggest you check out what our friends are up to. Just click their names and you'll be taken to their websites.
